Angrybirdstees.com is sending our street team out on an 4,800 mile road trip making stops along the way to hand out 11,000 tee shirts to fans. Free T Shirts are flying with the launch of the new game Angry Birds Space. Watch the Angry Birds blog, twitter feeds or Facebook updates for the next location the tour van will be heading! Follow #ABSpace or #ABSpaceTour for live updates on locations, pictures, and video. Post to our social media outlets if you see the tour van in action.

It started with and idea, which turned into a mission, the adventure, the fans, the random stops at mini marts to a fly by, Hollywood style. Over 11,000 Angry Birds Space T Shirts flung out into crowds, handed to the kids and the single serving hellos. We would like to thank everyone that helped out along the way. To the Austin dance teams that helped out with the flash mob, you guys, all rock! Thanks to the guys at Rovio for the opportunity to promote Space, and mission control for keeping everything updated. We wished we had an actual spacecraft so we could throw out tees all over the world, maybe on the next trip around.
The new Angry Birds space shirts have landed on AngryBirdsTees.com. All the new angry bird space friends are here with all new designs. New game, new characters, and of course the new T Shirts are now available for purchase. Be one of the first to check them out and remember we ship all over the world.
We had a flash mob in Austin, but we were mobbed in Vegas!
In a word, Madness. If its more words you seek, by all means, continue reading. The Angry Birds Van flew in just under the stroke of midnight. Reactions to the stork touching down were that of legend. One guy even said, hey you cant park there! Thats when I realized we had plowed through a giant fountain. It was simple, since inception the AB Van has went Hurbie on us, developing its own personality. The ABV was looking to clean itself off, you know, look good for the big day. It went bird bath on us. Once arriving at the block party, we realized this party was for the birds! We kicked the side doors open and proceeded to whip angry birds tees into the crowd. The people couldnt get enough.
The #ABSpaceTour just landed in Albuquerque, we'll be by the Tram at 11:00 with 300 free tees!
Albuquerque was a fun town, bustling nightlife and birders galore. We visited the largest Tramway in the world at Scandia Peak Equipping our fans with t-shirt ammunition in case they encountered any pigs at the top. After leaving Albuquerque, we were pulled over by, were they friends of the birds? Or spies for the enemy pigs?? We had to find out. Turns out they were Angry Birds allies requesting T-Shirt support. We ended up catching the sunset and driving / passing / driving / dodging / dipping through lanes for nearly 9 hours all the way to Arizona.
We Made it!. After a quick 9 hour drive we made it to Roswell, NM. We'll be handing out shirts all day. Make sure you come track us down.
The drive to Roswell was a long one, and Im sure the space birds were peering down on us tracking our every move, we pulled in and got some pictures of UFOs all around us. We tried making it to the Red Bull Stratos test jump but apparently they left a wee bit too early (4am) We checked out the UFO Museum downtown where Blue Bird had a few close encounters of the space kind we ended up making a new friend at the t-shirt shop next store. Everyone was PUMPED that Angry Birds is in SPACE now!
We hit rural Dallas / Ft Worth to do some recon on the pigs over at Wylie East Highschool FFA barn. After reporting back to the nest we were advised that it may be best to go to downtown Dallas West-End to re-inforce our fans with some official Angry Birds Space regalia. After about an hour and 300 tees later, we got a parking ticket and were told to move so we decided to move on to Roswell to see if we can find any clues as to the new birds over at Area 51. Wish us luck!
Austin is a truly amazing city. Music, food, and artistic atmosphere galore at south by southwest where over 30,000 people came to see the latest in film, music, and interactive technologies. Oh and did I mention that they'e completely OBSESSED with Angry Birds out here? Even the friendly local police wanted in on the Angry Birds action! We cruised to 4th and trinity for the flashmob which was awesome, 150 dancers busting a move out of nowhere.
The following days we enjoyed some music and SQUAK gave out over 800 shirts in about 2 hours. That's a T-Shirt every 10 seconds! We then hit the river walk, 6th street strip, and people went NUTS! A guy on a motorcycle almost crashed trying to grab a tee!
Now off to Dallas!
We headed right into the heart of SXWS and shocked the crowd with our Angry Birds Flash Mob. We had epic music and dancing as hundreds of on-lookers watched and participated right outside of the convention center.
Don't forget you can pick up all the tees you seen in our video at www.angrybirdstees.com
We've got something planned with TONS of FREE shirts to give away. If you're in the Austin area or at SXSW, come check out our Angry Birds Flash Mob. We'll be inside the convention center on 4th and Trinity. For real time updates follow us at @AGBTees #ABSpaceTour.
Wow, what a trip. We finally landed in Texas late last night. Tomorrow we wake up and head towards SXSW. Stay tuned for Tomorrow, we have something BIG planned and you won't want to miss it.
After leaving Phoenix we made our way to Tucson. Unfortunately, as time would allow we were only able to stick around long enough to gas up and contact a retailer of ours to get all you guys your free t-shirts. Leaving Tucson behind in the dark, we left for a long and windy drive to Las Cruces. After our pit stop in New Mexico, we made our longest drive of the trip and were on the road all day en route to San Antonio. Arriving into San Antonio and seeing the Alamo all lit up was a great way to enter the city, but then seeing the River Walk... you guys got it made!
Wednesday was the busiest day yet for the Angry Birds tour van as we drove around the Phoenix area handing out a few hundred free tees. Old Town Scottsdale was a cool spot, and we had a blast connecting with some of Angry Birds' biggest fans. We were hoping to get in on the action at the MLB spring training game where the San Francisco Giants were playing the Colorado Rockies, but the event staff wouldn't let us bring the van in. Next we headed to Tempe, home of the ASU Sun Devils, where we drove back and forth through their downtown handing out shirts to students and anyone else who was out and about enjoying Arizona's great weather.
That's right! We've given over 4,000 FREE shirts away in California and now we're on our way to Arizona! Since we gave away so many tees, we had to stop off to get more! Follow us on Twitter (@agbtees) and Facebook to find out when and where we will be tomorrow
The Angry Birds Space Tour Van has landed in Hollywood. Check our twitter feeds and Facebook for locations
The Angry Birds Space street team had a blast in San Fransisco at the Game Developers Conference. We gave out nearly 3,000 tees and got to hang out with all of the guys from Rovio. We hung out at the front of the GDC until the event staff gave us the boot. We were able to bribe the security staff for quite a while though with free shirts!
Now, the Angry Birds Space Tour van is heading to Los Angeles. Keep an eye out for us around the Graumans Chinese Theater in Hollywood in the morning and Santa Monica Pier in the late afternoon. We'll be giving more free tees!
We first pulled up to Fishermans Wharf at around 8:00 PM the night befoore the Game Developers content, threw the doors open, underglows activated, and blasted some Angry Birds tunes and were IMMEDIATELY rushed by a mob of over 500 people. They are NUTS for Angry Birds here! The next day we hit up the Moscone Center for the Game Developers Conference where we gave out nearly 1000 T-Shirts with the van parked out front of the entrance before we were rushed away by security :) We went around to west entrance and gave out 1000 more before hitting the crowds on foot. We gave away 3000 tees at GDC alone! They LOVED us there! We then hit Union Square and gave out some swag to all the tourists on trolleys and on foot. People of all nationalities were naming their favorite birds in their own languages, it was awesome!
The Angry Birds Space Tour Van is prepped and ready for launch. We just left for San Francisco so keep your eyes peeled for us on the road! More updates coming soon...
